IBM Server Raid Manager alert "Vendor Unsupported"

IBM Server Raid Manager documentation for "Vendor Unsupported" alert

This is a generic IBM Server Raid Manager alert. This is only generated if the "Vendor Unsupported" alarm is set (which it is by default). This is IBM's method of harassing users to buy disks from them. To eliminate this functionally irrelevant alert, please follow the instructions below:

- Go into Event Action Plan Builder on the IBM Director Server

- Delete the entry "All Events" under "Log All Events" on the left pane

- Create a new Simple Event Filter, select all things you are interested in monitoring with Director. Ensure that you only tick individual items on the Storage section of the builder. In particular do not tick the Storage/ServeRAID Controller/Physical Drive/Vendor Unsupported box or any of the boxes above this in the tree.

- Save the Event Filter and add it to the Log All Events task, add the "Add to the Event Log" action to it as well.
