80-Pin SCSI hard drives are exclusively for usage in servers that use hot swappable (hot-swap) drives with a hot pluggable backplane. If you use a hard drive tray or caddy or sled, and simply slide and clip the drive into the front of your server, then this is the correct type of SCSI hard drive. However if you connect a power and a SCSI ribbon cable to the back of the drives, then you need to see our 68-pin drive selection. Hot-swap 80pin drives are commonly used in Dell Poweredge servers such as 1500, 1500SC, 2300,2350, 2400, 2450, 2500, 2500SC, 2550, 4300, 4350, 4400, 4600, 6300, 6350, 6400, 6450, 7150, 8450, 800, 1600, 1600SC, 1800, 1850, 2600, 2650, 2800, 2850 4600, 6600, 6650; also the Compaq Proliant servers, IBM eServer xSeries Servers, and Sun Enterprise & Netra Servers.
