The high reliability and excellent performance of the Hitachi Ultrastar 146Z10 are the result of the implementation of a number of advanced disk drive technologies, including giant magnetoresistive head technology, No-ID sector formatting, Predictive Failure Analysis, and ECC on the fly correction.
