The Dell™ Additional LTO-3 Tape Drive is a high-capacity data storage device that is designed to perform backups, store mission-critical data and archive files. With a combination of data compression and compaction, the tape drive provides a formatted cartridge capacity of 400 GB (800 GB assuming a 2:1 compression ratio). It delivers a maximum sustained transfer rate of up to 80 MBps (native) across an Ultra160 SCSI LVD interface. In addition, this drive is backward read/write compatible with LTO-2 and LTO-3 tapes and read compatible with LTO-1 tapes. This product has been tested and validated on Dell™ systems to ensure it will work with your computer and is compatible with the Dell™ PowerVault 136T Tape Library. It is supported by Dell™ Technical Support when used with a Dell system.
